Alessandro Nocentini was born in Florence, Italy in 1949 where he lives and works to this day. Since 1973 he has been showing his work and receiving recognition from the international art world. He is known for being one of Italy's best engravers/etchers of the second generation, earning praise from the critics and the public.

Nocentini's derives his inspiration from the landscapes of his native country. His graphics are individually water-colored after pressing resulting in a lyrical effect of remarkable intensity, beauty and vitality. His subjects are drawn from nature and hold an organic quality that is the foundational strength of all his works.
