Bonny Hawley weaves from the fabrics of ancient worlds and threads of her imagination to create her old world wall tapestries. The work strives to celebrate life and stimulate the viewers imagination. Bonny was raised in a small town in the midwest and grew up reading lots of books about far away places and strange lands. She graduated from FHSC in Kansas with her BFA in Fine Art and has been a professional working artists for the last 30 years. To Bonny, "Life and Art are a continual, exciting, growing creative process open to experimentation and intellectual growth." Tha tapestries consist of mixed media acrylic collage and involve the use of monoprinting, stenciling and handmade and handpainted papers. The pieces can be built to any size configuration, and hang like an old world tapestry or can be framed. Bonnys artwork can be found hanging in the finest homes from Florida to Europe.
